Our story begins with a scientist and propolis expert: Dr. Zenon Sosnowski. With double PhDs in biochemistry and pharmacology, he dedicated 35+ years of his life to bee propolis research and in particular its application within human healthcare.
Amongst a small group of experts who realised the potential of Bee Propolis long before modern science caught up, Dr. Sosnowski collaborated on several clinical trials in relation to the herpes virus and developed the patented techniques we use today to refine bee propolis sustainably sourced from Manitoban hives into the purified extracts used in Herstat® products today.
